Overview:
This project was completed in the span of three months. The design challenge focused on building a transparent network and ecosystem of resources and allies for the Chikankari artisans of Lucknow, India. The focal point of the research was the artisan village, Kakori Gaon. The final design concept centers around a help center with an assistive application for the artisans and a consumer-end website that creates an awareness about the Chikankari artisans. The design solution has been outlined in detail in a separate project linked at the bottom of this page. The following is a thorough summary of the user research and design process employed in this project.
My Role:
I led several UX exercises and this included stakeholder mapping, interviewing, weighted analysis, and documentation. I also conducted user research by interviewing, building and conducting usability tests, as well as, through observation and field study. I also wireframed the mobile application and website, and, prototyped the entire website on Adobe XD.
